Pig parts in Cigarretes Shocker!

As a smoker of cigarettes, you may not necessarily care what you are putting into your body. There are many ways to stop smoking and if you are allergic to pork, or forbidden to eat it then this controversy could finally break you from your filthy habit. The filters of certain cigarette brands have been shown to contain trace elements of pig haemoglobin (this assists the filter to trap a large amount of toxic carcinogens) and this has of course, sent the world into a frenzy. Muslims and Jews alike are hoping to discover the root of this problem through discussion and further research.

It all began when a Professor from the University of Sydney identified the 185 different uses of a pig. Big tobacco industries never listed this ingredient in their manufacturing process, instead naming it as ‘processing aids ... that are not significantly present in, and do not functionally affect the finished product’. We can of course argue that it does in fact affect a large percentage of the world’s population. Tobacco giants make a great deal of effort keeping their product ingredients secret from public scrutiny; there is simply no way of wrenching this important information from them. It has been confirmed though that certain cigarette brands in Greece and India contain the pig haemoglobin.

Thankfully, the FDA have now stepped in and demanded that they relinquish lists of their complete ingredients list to them no later than June 2010. This also includes any sort of studies they have taken to product their cigarettes. Of all of the consumable products created by the human race, cigarettes and other tobacco items remain a mystery to most.
